ODIN Sync or Start Fix for Windows Shortcut
This process allows a Windows user to easily apply the resync command to your ODIN-Qt shortcut without using the command line. You will create a copy of the ODIN-Qt shortcut and create another that will be edited to issue the -resync command fixing most sync problems. The resync removes all the data from your blocks, chainstate, sporks and zerocoin folders. Then downloads a new set and attempts to build all the data around matching your addresses and transaction history. This will help a stuck sync or failure to start in most cases.
Here is what you need to know
Syncing issues are almost ALWAYS related to database and network issues. What I mean is that the data was interrupted and became disordered or corrupted.
This is not an issue that is caused by any process related to the ODIN-Qt or its related applications. The ODIN-Qt is merely showing a symptom of the network and data problem. Your Wallet (you coins and data are secure) As always make sure you keep a copy of your wallet.dat and masternode.conf (if you are running a masternode) in a secure location.
What are the most common causes?
1. Sleep or Hibernation mode
2. Application Updates
3. Using a WIFI connection to stake
3. Loss of data from the internet the service provider.
4. Non-data-related issues are the firewall, router, and antivirus
5. User Error – Shutting down abruptly without closing your ODIN-Qt.
